This site is dedicated to RC car and truck hobbyists. Learn
informative tips on
how to  keep your car or truck running in
tip top form.  Stay up to date on all the latest goings-on in
the RC world.  You'll find reviews and resources that will help
you choose the perfect car or truck. You will also have access
to the top  books and magazines, parts and accessories, as
well as the top
hobby shops online.
Hobby RC cars and trucks come in two types, Nitro and electric.
These are not kids toy cars. They are hobby quality radio
controlled cars and they can go very, very fast. Gas powered
RC Cars and trucks are the fastest because of the fuel and
nitrogen mixture. The most popular are 1/10 scale touring cars.
Speeds on these cars can approach 100 MPH.

If you want everything assembled and ready to go, choose a
pre-assembled RTR.  You'll just need to purchase  a few more
items to make it fully operational, such as batteries or fuel. All
Team Associated RTRs can be easily upgraded with the Factory
Team competition parts for that kit.

An excellent car for the beginner or intermediate driver would
be the TC3. It comes in both electric and (nitro) gas models.

RC electric cars  RTR are the best when you're just getting
started  in the R/C car hobby because they are easier to control
and you can have them working with very little effort. Just
charge the battery pack and you're off. Gas powered rc cars
and trucks, on the other hand, may give you some problems
when trying to start them since they require a lot of
adjustments to run in comparison to electric models.
Team Associated manufactures tough well built race-quality rc
car kits. You can find other hobby shops offering R/C cars for
under $100 but they won't have the speed, tunability or
toughness that Associated cars are known for. Also parts are
readily available at most hobby shops that carry the Associated
brand.
Micro and mini rc cars are another fun part of the R/C hobby.
The mini-Z F1 racer can fit in the palm of your hand, and is
one of the best known rc race cars on the F1 circuit today,
and man can they go. They pack a lot of fun into that little car.
Kyosho Mini-Z F1 remote control cars are powered by
inexpensive alkaline batteries.
You can subscribe to some of the most popular RC Car
magazines  such as

car,  as well as reviews, hot tips and specs on all the latest hot

Talk to your local hobby shops for hands on help and
suggestions as to best cars to buy. You can also get all you
RC car and R/C trucks online at the most
popular hobby
shops. They are more convenient than buying at the local
hobby shop and can usually be had at a cheaper price because
of the constant online promotions.
